Join Karen O’Brien as she explores the important theme of fractals of change, as discussed in her latest book You Matter More Than You Think: Quantum Social Change in Response to a World in Crisis.
Fractals are self-similar patterns that repeat themselves at every scale. They are visible throughout nature, from beehives to tree branches, leaves, dragonfly eyes, and river systems. Human and social fractals represent self-similar patterns that can be generated by individuals from moment to moment through conscious intent and agency. If our actions are consistent with values that apply to the whole, they will create new patterns that are replicated through language, stories, and meaning-making at all scales, such that each [part/whole] reflects those qualities.
In this webinar, Karen and her guests will discuss the power of fractals to generate transformative change on issues including urban design, politics and leadership, as well as the importance of the quality of agency and values that we build into our actions.
The webinar is free and open to all (registration required).
